Julia Pendorak is a Senior Paralegal at Karasik Law Group, P.C., where she has been a central part of the firm’s litigation team since 2004. With more than two decades of experience in personal injury and medical malpractice case management, Ms. Pendorak plays a critical role in moving cases from intake through resolution.

Two Decades of Paralegal Experience

Ms. Pendorak joined Karasik Law Group when the firm was in its early years, and she has been instrumental in building the case management systems and workflows that the firm relies on today. Over 20-plus years, she has worked on hundreds of tort claims across multiple jurisdictions, developing deep familiarity with the procedural requirements of New York State courts, federal courts in the Eastern and Southern Districts, and New Jersey courts.

Her experience covers a wide range of case types, including personal injury claims arising from car accidents, truck collisions, slip-and-fall incidents, and construction site accidents. She also provides extensive support on medical malpractice and wrongful death matters, which often involve complex medical records, expert coordination, and lengthy litigation timelines.

Day-to-Day Role

On any given day, Ms. Pendorak manages active case files, coordinates with treating physicians and medical providers to obtain records and reports, and communicates with insurance adjusters and defense counsel regarding case status and documentation. She prepares and organizes discovery materials, drafts correspondence, and assists the firm’s attorneys with trial preparation, including exhibit organization and witness scheduling.

Client communication is a significant part of her work. Ms. Pendorak serves as a primary point of contact for many of the firm’s clients, keeping them informed about case progress, upcoming deadlines, and what to expect at each stage of the legal process. Her ability to explain procedural steps in straightforward terms helps clients feel supported during what is often a stressful and unfamiliar experience.

She also coordinates with court clerks to manage filing deadlines, tracks statute of limitations dates across the firm’s caseload, and ensures that all procedural requirements are met on schedule. In medical malpractice cases, she works closely with expert witnesses, managing document production and scheduling depositions.

Beyond the Office

When she is not at the firm, Ms. Pendorak is a dedicated mother who stays actively involved in her children’s school, sports, and extracurricular activities.
